5 Latest Pregnancy Complaints

Waaaaaahhhh Waaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh πŸ˜‰

courtesy of “watch me grow” πŸ˜‰

1. Pelvic Pain

2. Swollen Ankles

3. Charlie Horse in the Middle of the Night….Michael thought I was waking up in labor I was screaming so loud

4. Waddling like a Penguin because of the rapid 3rd tri weight gain (and Ella’s head dropping)

5. Needing to rest more and not being able to sit still :/

It could be worse though!!!!!!! I still feel extremely lucky to have had a wonderful pregnancy overall!

A KILLER Vanilla Cupcake Recipe.

It’s Michael birthday on Sunday and his request was “vanilla cupcakes with no weird stuff in them, like beets.” “I want some cupcake wars ish.” Hahaha. No, Michael. I only put beets in my Red Velvet Cupcakes, silly boy. And you KNOW they were delicious when you ate them! In Michael code that means no vegan stuff. What he won’t know won’t hurt him as long as they are killer tasty. Baking is my specialty, but I don’t think I have any really fantastic, blow your mind vanilla cupcake recipes. I think plain vanilla can be so boring, but that’s what he wants. With butter cream icing. Nothing too horrific as far as sugar goes, I am banned from using stevia blends too. If anyone has any ideas let me know! Nothing where I have to buy all kinds of expensive ingredients either.Β  Babycakes has a recipe but I think they will cost me like $50.00+ to make. I will be searching I heart cuppycakes and the reviews at All Recipes & Food Network until then and keep you posted πŸ˜‰

Let me know if you have any site or recipe suggestions!

He doesn’t want me to buy anything for him this year. He wants me to use every penny I am making towards bills and Ella since, things we need. I will be out of work for a few months. I can’t stand that, but since he is IMPOSSIBLE to buy gifts for anyway. His family and I are taking him out to dinner tonight and I’m making him his dinner and dessert of choice on Sunday. No matter what it is, I can’t debate it.Β  He only gets a birthday once a year and he deserves to get what he wants!!!

I’m sure you can find plenty of cupcake recipes on Jess’s blog! (HowSweetEats.com). She’s a baking genius! My favourite songs on my workout playlist right now are Fire by Raghav, Till the World Ends by Britney, and Atlantic by the Midway State.

Sorry I had to comment here cause it made me laugh even though you didn’t mean to make me laugh.
You are so sweet to worry about what to get Michael when you are giving him the greatest gift ever and hopefully so close to his birthday too! Just wait for when Ella finally comes and he gets to hold her.. NOTHING you could have bought him will compare to that!

I wish you the best for the following weeks and good luck in your cupcake hunt.

Happy Birthday to one of the best brothers a gal could ask for!!! I’m excited for dinner tonight. I haven’t made vanilla cupcakes from scratch in a long time- but if I were to, I would check out what Smittenkitchen.com has to offer. I love the recipes on there! (might not be super healthy, but ALWAYS delish!)
I love Slaker Radio too Laur!! I’m weird and like working out to slow jams at the gym (Elton John Radio, Billy Joel, Mumford and Sons and the Beatles) Check those stations out! Sometimes I even throw in a little Madonna.
    See you tonight! XO

I love mangos and peaches so can’t wait to see what you make. I have been wanting to try the Champagne Mango, everyones been talking about them since WF’s had them on sale. I have no natural stores near by. As for the cupcakes one way to kick them up is to use Pure Vanilla Bean Paste its cheaper then the vanilla beans, my local store sells it at $6 for a bottle where 2 beans is like $14. I think vanilla bean anything is wonderful such a pure natural flavor!

I plan on jumping back as soon as I’m ready! I hear it can be 3-6 weeks after depending on how tough delivery is. I am going to start with walking her in my jogging stroller because it will be spring. Then go from there! Can’t wait to start doing planks again!

Happy Birthday to Michael! I feel like him and Dan would get along so well! He would make a similar beet comment or something like that…We did an interesting version of a plank yesterday in FIT. You won’t be able to do this until after Ella is born, but it was a modified plank (forearms) and we brought one knee in towards the opposite elbow (sort of twisting, dropping the opposite hip to the floor but not touching) and held it there. Killer for the obliques and even quads because you are in a 3-point plank. We held for about 30 seconds on each side.

Didn’t chef Chloe win a cupcake competition on TV for her vegan cupcake? They look bomb, too! I honestly don’t think it being non-vegan would make it taste any better (except the frosting…. maybe… I’m just talking about the “cake” part).
