Second Pregnancy: 38 Weeks

My Second Pregnancy: 38 Weeks

It’s almost go time!

The hospital bag is packed, nursery is just about finished. I finished all of the things I needed for FlowTox (!!!), I have my BOB double stroller with the swivel front wheel (we got a great deal on Craigslist!) and we have the car seat installed. So, will the baby be a Leo or a Virgo? That’s the question. I still think later rather than earlier. My last two appointments indicated that the baby has dropped, last week he got even lower than the week before and I am at about 2cm already. I can feel it too, man he is low and it makes things pretty crampy at times! This could mean I go tomorrow or I could walk around like this for 2 more weeks and be late. That’s the thing with babies, you never know, there’s no way of really predicting, and they come when they’re ready! I am still in no rush. This has been a nice pregnancy and as long as I can keep up with my active lifestyle I am happy. I am very excited to meet the little guy though!!!!

I just wanted to take this time to say thank you to my regular yoga practice, PITclasses (up until 31 weeks), and TRUBarre for helping me to feel strong and keep me in great shape throughout my pregnancy!

Planning on trying for a natural birth. I know things don’t always go as planned but going to take a different approach this time around. I would love to hear what other moms used for tools and coping mechanisms that helped during active labor. Visualization, certain tools (massager, rolling pin, oils?). I am thinking I will have to find my rhythm once it happens and see what works. But always love hearing from other moms and see what helped them!!!!!!

Okay, here’s a few shots of the nursery! It was tough taking pics of this room since it’s so small, but you get the idea!

We went with an Owl theme! And I love the rocking chair. My mom gave it to me, it belonged to a great aunt.

We put the tree decals above the crib, and I like the dark tree as opposed to the colorful ones. It’s very Zen!
