I posted this deliciousness to my Instagram last week and it was wildly popular, so I thought I would bookmark it here as well!
If you missed Bitchin’ Yogis episode 10 this week, the girls and I talked all about sugar.
My diet has evolved and changed so much over the last 10 years. I’ve learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t. One thing I know that has worked consistently is cutting grains and excess sugar. Eating a diet higher in healthy fat and moderate protein, getting my carbs mostly from vegetable and some fruit fuels me.
I love sipping on bone broth and teas during the day, and I no longer eat frequent small meals (which set me up for blood sugar crashes, moodiness, and night cravings).
Here’s one of my favorite things to whip up that satisfies me, and is loaded with healthy fat and nutrients!
Salmon Avocado Boats
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1/2 small cucumber, peeled and diced
- a few slices of lox, chopped
- fresh dill
Dice up your avocado, add your chopped cucumber and lox, then mix it up. Add them back into the avocado shells and sprinkle dill on top.
Stay tuned for our Instagram challenge starting on November 13th! I am just confirming all the sponsors and will put something up as soon as I do!
