I hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was fun, but exhausting!
The wedding was absolutely beautiful, one of the nicest I have ever been to!
we started out at the salon for our day of beauty…
then off to Jackie’s house to get dressed
our limo to the country club
however, no champagne? so, we made a stop:
When we got there, we had to do pictures…OUTSIDE in the 35 degree weather, wearing chiffon dresses. It was BEAUTIFUL out there– however, it was VERY cold. Good thing we all love Jackie very much. I did not have my camera during these pics, it just wasn’t practical…I had to let the photographers do their thang…and huddle up with the other bridesmaids between shots. We started singing Jimmy Buffet and Beach Boys songs as a strategy to get warm. The wind was what killed us the most!
Since I did not get to take pics for some crucial moments (being in the wedding and all) I hijacked some from my mom and brother of the ceremony:
during cocktail hour she got rid of the veil and placed a rose in her hair:
then, I struggled with remembering how to bustle the dress (damn, hormones)
I figured out the first part of it, I just kept miscounting where the hooks were
my aunt joined in, we just couldn’t find the snaps!
I think the bride was getting antsy with us because SHE knew how to do it, but couldn’t do it herself, haha- (btw-don’t mind the line from my spray tan)
my aunt then remembered how to do it, and we finished the job…..happy bride:
happy 5 month pregnant bridesmaid…
more hijacked pics.…we entered the reception down a HUGE flight of stairs, I was FREAKING out about this part:
here are the bride and groom entering under the swords held by some honorable marines, the first time as Mr. & Mrs!
I made my speech:
then, was able to relax…
vegetarian dish for din, stir fry with brown rice:
here’s my momma and I:
brother and I:
Michael has forbidden me to post his picture on the blog (or anywhere for that matter)….when I know he isn’t looking I’ll try and sneak one in for yah 😉
Robbie and his girlfriend, Meagan….the whole place was decorated like Christmas. I am sorry I didn’t get a chance to take pictures, it was SO beautiful in all the rooms!
He and Danny enjoyed the beautiful decorations
we all had a fabulous time!
I was EXHAUSTED by the end of the night. Everyone was going back to the hotel to hang out, but I just couldn’t do it. I got home, unzipped my dress (didn’t even take it off), crashed on my bed, and couldn’t move. I NEVER under any circumstances, EVER go to bed without washing my face or brushing my teeth….EVER. It’s probably been over 10 years since I went to bed without washing my face. Saturday night, I didn’t! I just literally, couldn’t move. Michael pulled off the Uggs I wore home, handed me my PJ’s, I handed him my dress, and I was out like a light. Between the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, it was a long weekend. A great one, though.
Jackie & Craig, I couldn’t be happier for you both!
What did you do all weekend?
Have a great day!
