In The Kitchen

Okay so it’s not like there are people out there anxiously waiting for me to publish a new blog post, but I thought I would give an update anyway. I reserve the right to post even though I have nothing substantial fully prepared to post about.

This is what we’ve had going on around here…

Baby girl has been teething…bad.

She’s making like 4-5 teeth. On the one hand, I’m glad she’s making a lot at once. On the other…she’s in so much pain. Much better today, but from Thursday night until yesterday it’s been very, very rough.

Mike said this was one of the most challenging weeks as parents thus far. He obviously had forgotten all about the newborn stage.

We took her to the (local suburban, not as good as the Philadelphia) zoo for the fist time over the weekend.

We tried to get out as much as possible to distract her, because being home was just rough to say the least! Poor baby!

For now..I am getting busy to spend the entire day in the kitchen whipping up some awesome new recipes. I‘ve been in a little lull lately with recipes but I dreamt up a few new ones and I’m testing them out today! Fingers crossed I will have some healthy, yummy Memorial Day dishes for you! I’m really excited about them!!!

Chat Soon!!

Moms: When was the worst of your babies teething? I hear molars are brutal!  Hopefully we get a long rest before that happens!

What are your plans for the weekend? Do you go away, or are you picnic-bound? What types of recipes do you like to make?

Poor Ella!!! I feel so bad for her 🙁
Matthew had a rough time with the first few teeth, and then after like 5 of them, it was a breeze. Hopefully, this is just a rough patch for Ella, and she’ll sail through the molars!

Oh, and btw, I am always eager to read your posts! 🙂

Side note: I’m about to send you a message about our project too. …Totally derailed this past week. Ugh. Hopefully on track now.

awww, I’m sorry Ella is having problems. We tried the wet washcloth for her to suck on, but really that doesn’t help if back teeth are coming in. Unfortunately I think it’s one of those things you have to just let them go through. It’s awful I know.

Where did you get the popsicle stick? Can you post a recipe for her popsicles? I bought the California Baby Shampoo and sunscreen. I love it! Thanks!

Thanks, Wendy! She’s so much better now! We tried the rag too and had the same reaction.

The Popsicle stick is from Babies R Us. I also found some BPA-free molds at Bed Bath and Beyond. I just used a few smoothie recipes but will be sharing a lot of baby stuff soon in a special project Ive been working on!
