Friday 5 ~ Fit Gifts

Hey, guys! We’ve been having a lot of fun getting ready for the holiday’s over here! Busy busy busy! Michael won’t even let me get away with taking Ella alone. He is loving all the shopping this year too! Which is not typical…but so adorable now that he’s a dad and wants to be involved. Ella has gotten so cute to take shopping. She can finally sit up in the cart! I’ve been wiping it down, but I’m thinking about getting that cloth insert. Do any of you moms out there have one? What do you think?

Someone at Target came over to us yesterday and said how she thought Ella was a (very lifelike) doll. Lol. She gets that a lot πŸ™‚

I though today I would post some picks for the fitness lover in your life! And get some of your favorite (general) gist ideas!

5Β  Gift ideas for your fitness friends!

Β 1. Gymboss interval timer $19.95:

I love mine! It’s a great way to add some spice to any workout. I’ve seen a lot of results post-baby by adding interval training into my workouts. If you have a friend that likes to switch up their workouts, this would be a great gift for them!

2. Purple Tunic with Hood by Raw Threads $54.00

This is a great, warm top to throw on before yoga or spinning class.

I think there’s something to be said about supporting a small business that is environmentally conscious and cares for each customer. Raw Threads uses bamboo cotton AND THEIR STUFF IS ADORABLE!

A wrap like this is what you will seeΒ  me in most days! I may have to ask Santa for a new one.

3. Camelback Hydration/Recreation Pack

These are great for friends that take their fitness outdoors. Running, cycling, hiking…this pack is lightweight and holds the essentials. It has a pretty design and comes in several styles and colors!

4. Dry Shampoo

If you have a friend with a busy schedule, or likes to take fitness classes in the middle of the workday, dry shampoo makes a great beauty gift! When I was working crazy hours and had a break in the middle of the day to get my workout on, I didn’t always have time to wash and dry my hair. Dry shampoo helps you feel refreshed, gets the sweat stink out.

I like the Ojon for those days my I didn’t sweat heavily, but feel my hair just needs to be freshened up.

My hair is dark, and tend to get oily at times. If your hair is oily, a powdered dry shampoo may be the solution, but I found that having powdery light roots looked a little funny. That’s when I discovered Bumble and Bumbles hair powder. It’s a spray on powder and you buy it in your hair color. I bought this when my hair was really dark (I’ve since let my natural color grow out), but they sell it in red, brunette and even white. I personally like the spray on powder over the powder because it also adds some volume and style to my hair. Be cautious though, you have to let it dry and shake the excess out, otherwise it will end up all over your hands!

I play with my hair a lot, and I made that mistake and ended up with black fingernail temporarily <–it washes off easily.

5. iTunes gift card!

You can’t go wrong with this one. With an iTunes gift card your fit friend or family member can update their running playlist and be on their way! It’s a safe way to go, but at the same time I am sure any fitness fanatic with an iPod or iPhone would appreciate it!

Β I hope everyone is doing well! I hope to catch up with you some of you over the weekend πŸ™‚

What’s your favorite gift ideas fitness or otherwise this season!??

My non-fitness pick would be the infinite scarf!

Cool gifts! I bought my bf a Gymboss as a Hannukah gift (we said no Christmas gifts<–I celebrate commerically). Hope he likes it!

Lush makes a dry shampoo called No Drought. It smells awesome.

P.S. Ella looks like a spitting image of you! =P

Have you ever tried Suave’s dry shampoo? It’s only 3 bucks but it is TOTALLY awesome. I would say it compares to nicer brands for sure.
The smell is good (albeit a little strong) but honestly for 3 bucks it’s fantastic.
It can be a bit difficult to find sometimes because it sells out quickly, but seriously it’s worth a shot.

Hey cute friend! Have you missed me?! So…my computer got a crazy virus and we have zero internet access for two weeks, and it was torture! I could get on from my android, but just not the same! I could seriously die over the weez pic! HAHA! That picture is so awesome! I just feel like I can see her little personality in her facial expression so much! Isn’t it so nice/fun when they can sit in the carts?! I love it! It makes everything fun and easy. I never actually bought one of those cart cover things but I thought about it with every baby. I just always wondered it it would be worth it. You KNOw those carts have to be pretty germ infested though. I love both of those sweaters from raw threads! I a seriously thinking about ordering both of them. I love wrap sweaters, and now that I have a little baby belly going on, those are perfect! They have some cute stuff for sure, and like you said, I love supporting small businesses so much! i haven’t actually asked for a single thing for Christmas. well, thats actually not true I did get a brand new awesome vacuum from the in-laws, and a really nice carpet cleaner from my parents. Both kind of “parent” type of gifts. But now I want that wrap sweater! I dont have a white one yet. I do however, have gifts hiding all over the place for the hubby that he doesnt know about! haha. Im a sneaky santa!
Give Weezy a squeeze from me!! Love ya!

    What a cutie πŸ™‚

I love my Bumble and Bumble hair powder! It’s definitely a time-saver. I have been coveting Powerblocks myself, but iTunes gift cards are great – who doesn’t get extra motivation from a new workout playlist? And I love Lululemon running capris – their stuff is pricey but very sturdy.

I have one of those cart thingies and I used it in the beginning when my daughter was young, but then I kept forgetting to bring it when I went out and eventually never used it. BUT, everytime I go I think…Man I should really bring that cover! haha

And Love your gift ideas! Especially the pink camel bag!
