Good afternoon! I wanted to pop in really quickly to say hey! We had a really busy weekend and I am sure you all can relate. Spring break, Passover and Easter all being in the same week makes for lots of family time and lots of eating 🙂 We had my sister-in-law’s wedding this weekend, rehearsal was Friday night and wedding was at Normandy Farms on Saturday evening (the venue was stunning). It was a total dream. Rose was the perfect bride and had the perfect dress for her. I don’t think I’ve ever been in an “easier” wedding (not sure what other word to really use there). She was so laid back about everything and just wanted us all to be together and have a great day. I’m so happy for her and Ryan!
I brought Whispering Angel to the rehearsal dinner and all was right in the world.
By the way, I was OBSESSED with my makeup. I am admittedly a major pain in the ass when it comes to this. I feel I do my own makeup better, and never really gave in (even at my own wedding) to let the artist do their thing, I usually come in with half of it done myself. I know what I like!
My sister-in-law hired Casey (she’s on instagram @caseyb215) and it was like she was my soul mate. In the beginning I told her I may be a pain, and can only imagine what she was thinking ha! But I showed her a picture and wanted my eyes more bright and natural with lots of lash and brow, as opposed to heavy and dark. She airbrushed me, but also did some contouring beforehand which was what I wanted. I will definitely be using her again if I have events in the future! I just thought I would share!
My babies were so much fun and so adorable at the wedding. There were 6 little ring bearers and my Weezy was the flower girl. I don’t think I had an adult conversation all night that lasted more than 2 minutes … I just hung with the kiddies the whole time!
Speaking of beauty … I wanted to share with you my favorite secret for puffy eyes that I have been using for a few years now! I made sure to prep the week of the wedding with a collagen mask, ice rolling (especially right before I got my makeup done), and this little gem of a tip!
Yup. I only use raw milk from a trusted local farm that has a clean and compassionate operation. The Family Cow delivers all over PA, so check them out (or go on a site like local harvest.org to find a farm near you)! I am not affiliated nor do I get a kickback for referring, I just love them!
Beauty Tip for Puffy Eyes:
Soak cotton balls or a clean washcloth in ice cold whole milk. Ring out the excess and place it over eyes for 15 minutes or more. Ideally, you want to do this several times a week! Cucumbers are an old favorite, but I think I love this tip even more! The secret is in THE FAT! The proteins in whole milk are soothing to skin and the fats will reduce the puffiness and swelling around the eye area. Every girl over 30 needs this beauty secret in her life!
Let me know if you try it!
Bonus, go over your skin and around your eye area gently with an ice roller for added benefits!
