Happy Due Date to Ella Morgan!

I have come to the conclusion that Ella realizes it’s 2011 and I am DVRing The Royal Wedding. When I was born right before Princess Diana’s wedding people actually had to get up at 3:30 AM to watch it. She may be taking after her mom and arrive fashionably late (in life…my mom was a week early with me). There were SO many signs that she was going to be here by now…but obviously you just never ever know. They come when they’re ready.

This ENTIRE month has felt like we are being held hostage. I haven’t gone anywhere too far alone. Michael and I have adjusted our social and weekend plans around the fact that I could go into labor at any moment. Then you have our families who have been “on call” and waiting…also held hostage. I just can’t believe by the end of next week she will definitely be here. I went to the doctor yesterday and I am a solid 2cm dilated, almost completely effaced, which means nothing because I have been these things for 2 weeks now. I lost my “plug” last week, and have felt contractions and menstrual like cramping every day. Definitely uncomfortable. Definitely thought she would have been here last Thursday. Still no baby. My attitude has changed though. I am not going to beat myself up for stopping working already, or feeling bad that everyone is waiting anxiously. I am sick of walking in the gym and people saying “you’re still pregnant!” But what can you do? I am bored but needed to get things to fill my free time with…..

Thanks for all your book recommendations! Before my doctors appointment I stopped at Borders and picked up these two:

Love her books and she’s from the Philadelphia area so most of her stories take place here, mentioning familiar places which is always fun. πŸ™‚ I stared it last night and am enjoying it so far!

Excited to read this when I am finished with Fly Away Home. Depending on when Ella arrives my days will consist of exercise and reading so it could be soon.

Thanks to all of you I have like a MILLION books on my Amazon Wish List! Lots of Pool reading for this summer! Many of you recommended The Hunger Games, so I want to check that out. Also Katie made some recommendations including The Uglies Series which sounds like they are a fun read! I have been wanting to get into Harry Potter but just feel intimidated by how many there are. I do think I would love them though. I have tried to get into The Sookie Stackhouse novels…I LOVE True Blood. One of my favorite shows. Sookie was totally different in the books, I think I need to give it another try but it threw me off how different the book and the show were from one another. I almost wish I read them first.

Right now I am off to work hard to induce labor πŸ˜‰

A long walk is in order before it gets too too hot here…

Lots of squatting…like I was going last night, and bouncing on my ball for an hour, cat/camels and so on. My boys kept looking at me like I was crazy. I told Michael I was trying to seduce him crawling around with my ginormous belly. At least I got a few laughs out of him πŸ˜‰

maybe some Shiva Prenatal this afternoon…

with or without the full body leotard…I couldn’t tell you, depends on how I am feeling at the moment πŸ˜‰

I am very interested at this point to see who is going to be right in The Baby Lottery…family and bloggies. Right now 6 family members and myself are still in the game. And as much as I poo pooed you May guesser, there were a lot of you that might be right!

Have a great day!!!

Have any of you read the books I picked out? What did you think?

I can’t believe it but I will have to get you guys my official 40 week pics later on to add to Watch Me Grow if I make it through the afternoon!

You are hilarious — trying to seduce Michael with your big belly. That is awesome.

You have to read the Emily Griffin books! I read them 3 summers ago and LOVED each one so much that I read the entire series in about a month, and got everyone else hooked. They are such light, easy reads. Perfect for summer. They actually just made a movie about the first one, Something Borrowed, with Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin! It looks gooood. Hopefully you can read it before the movie!

    Happy Due Date little Ella!

I love how the little growth chart on “watch me grow” says that the baby could be between 5 and 11 lbs now. Dang, I hope I never ever ever have an 11 pound baby. That would be crazy!

Today is not over yet!!!! I always hated it when folks said dumb things like, “You’re STILL pregnant!?” As if YOU are KEEPING her in there on PURPOSE! And I don’t believe for one minute that you are getting yourself into a ONE piece leotard… πŸ˜‰

ran into someone at Whole Foods who asked when I was due..and I was like “today” she was like “…are you not ready?” hahah I was like, “no I am ready, obviously she’s not” pointing at my belly. She never had a baby before but it’s just funny people think you can choose when you give birth. I had another friend who is younger and clueless about pregnancy ask me if I was getting induced today. I don’t even know if she knows what that means but I was like, it’s my due date and they don’t induce you unless there’s a problem or you are really late!

I was on maternity leave and attending our town’s annual heritage event. I was watching the town parade and our school’s choir was passing by, singing and dancing. The director/teacher/friend of mine looked at me (in the middle of her leading the group in the parade) and said, “You haven’t had that baby YET?” and I swear the whole town turned and looked at me! Argh!
That parade is this Saturday and my BABY will be driving herself to it and meeting up with friends!
I’m psyched to still be in the lottery with my guess of May 3! πŸ™‚

Actually they’ll induce you for no good reason at all, even if you just request it or if your doctor wants to make sure they’re the one to deliver the baby. It’s unfortunate because there are health risks associated and some effects on the baby. =(

My doctor doesn’t like to induce. She said we will talk induction after my tests next week, if I make it. Which is good that they are not all about it. She said they don’t like u to go more than 10 days over but rather u go natural than induction

You crawled around seducing Michael? HAHAHAHAHAHA. That is SO something I would do!!! I am BUSTING up. When I was preg with my first, I was obsessed with the movie Chicago, and I would act out all of the dancing and singing for my husband, only with a huge belly. it was sexy. hee hee If you want to know something that I am pretty sure PUT me into labor, email me. and no, its not what your thinking, and not a drink, nothing like that. A frined of mine was at my house the morning I went into labor, and she told me to do it, she said it put her into labor, and then I did it laughed and said WOW, cool idea Kim, and then later that day I was TOTALLY in full blown labor! She takes all the credit now, but who knows. hang in there beautiful girl! You are almost there!

you crack me up. I have this picture in my mind now of the acting and singing all preggo. I would totally do that too though πŸ˜‰
