Blueberry Green Tea Smoothie

Happy Thirsty Thursday, Everyone!!!

As I would say on Twitter: #stillpregnant

a self portrait was in order for the occasion…

^Can it EVEN GET any bigger???

One of my brothers friends wrote on facebook the other day: I wish I could ask Google questions like–

“where the ‘f’ is my cellphone” and it would answer back “under the couch, dumba$$”

I wish I could ask Google:

“so when exactly will I go into labor” and it would answer back “tomorrow at 2pm” or something like that. LOL. Not knowing WHEN is the worst part :/ I am up at 4am every morning now unable to sleep. Practice I guess? I can watch the Royal Wedding live tomorrow is this keeps up.

Oh well. I come bearing smoothies…..

10 ounces of Green Tea, double seeped (2 bags) and cooled

1 1/2 Cups Frozen Organic Blueberries, rinsed

1 Scoop Vega Vanilla Chia Protein (or Vanilla protein of choice)

1 teaspoon Maca Powder

1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds

Blend it all together and enjoy πŸ™‚

Not sure how it would taste with other protein powders, the Vega Vanilla Chai gives itΒ  a nice kick. You could also try replacing protein with Vanilla Coconut Yogurt, but you may need to add Xanathan gum or something to make it thicker depending on how much yogurt you use πŸ™‚

So, I obviously have too much time on my hands. When Michael took my FINAL “Watch Me Grow” picture last night, I decided I wanted to make a slideshow of all my pics back to back! I ended up doing a whole thing on youtube. You may have seen it on my Twitter or Facebook pages last night. Here it is for those of you that didn’t:

Enjoy the rest of your day!! I am feeling uninspired for my Friday Five tomorrow so hopefully I go into labor so I have an even more exciting post for yah πŸ˜‰

What’s your Thirsty Thursday drink for today?

Mom’s: I know it’s different for everyone and every time…but what did you feel like the morning you went into labor, or night before you went to sleep? Any signs? Signals?Β  Weird feelings?

This smoothie sounds perfect! I just had some equi-t iced green tea! I love it, it’s fair trade, organic and sweetened with apple juice! Special treat I get when I go to the store that sells it :).

But I’ll be thinking of you!! Especially on May 2!! haha

I can’t wait to try the smoothie. I know you feel like everything is so big, but honestly, it’s all in your tummy. Your arms, legs, etc don’t look out of shape at all. Keep it up, I’m sure you are almost there. Getting close to Mother’s Day, which would be pretty cool.

HOW ARE YOU STILL PREGNANT??????? Seriously, I sent SO many labor vibes, but apparantly not enough.
Cool video! You look “ready as ever” in the last one You dont look like you can grown another millimeter (your stomach that is) But you also look amazing at 40 weeks pregnant!!!
The smoothie is so BLUE! I always think dark colors = really healthy. I have been craving fruit smoothies and basically all things fruit in general. Once summer hits, its all I want!
I didnt have too much “warning” before each baby was born. Extra braxton hicks, like more of them, but still, I was already having so many as it was. I was a walking braxton hick I guess. haha I never felt my babies drop, never had my water break… I guess though, like I said with one of them I was having lots of contractions and not feeling the baby move as much. But the night before with my first, it was a sceduled induction, and I just felt a milion different feelings about it. My husband and I were laying in bed and just talking about how this will be our last night with this life. That the next day would change our lives forever. It was a totally strange feeling. Like I was ready, but at the moment of going in, I thought, wait, I could do this for 3 more weeks. am I relly ready? You are just days away, if that, so you will know what I mean. It is weird to know that one day they are in your belly, and the next, you get to lookk at them, hold them and see their personality. I am so excited for you!!! And I have to admit, you 40 weeks of pregnancy went WAAAAAY faster than mine did! hahaha

I KNOW!!!! You need to get your powers checked out, maybe you need a tune up πŸ˜‰

A walking Braxton Hicks, haha, you are so funny. Yea, like I have said before totally mixed feelings. I want this to happen so bad, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO BORED sitting at home waiting afraid to do anything! I want to meet my baby girl. But then, I have this LIFE I am responsible for and it’s a little scary.

My pregnancy went SO fast. Made up for it now though. This week….LONGEST week of my LIFE!

hahaha! I DO NEED A TUNE UP I think. LOL Yeah, you will be SO BORED at this point until shes here and then you will look back and feel like it went so fast. πŸ™‚ Havent you heard my solution? Float around in a pool for hours at a time with snacks and smile and wave at all the *non pregnant* hot bikini mamas at the pool. haha Ok, it is beautiful where you live! So green! In the pic where you are going to walk, it is more rural looking and lush. So gorgeous! I am looking out my window and it is HOT and palm trees. and populated. haha Such different scenery! I love visiting the East coast. I am due for another visit there soon! And guess WHAT Aunty Mo will do…same thing I do everytme, hit up the Yankees game and cheer for my team! LOL Sorry, I am a yankees fan girl!!!! Can we still be friends????? please? haha

    Hi Laury…
I just wanted to say first off that I love your blog…I am new to all of this and find all the info fascinating…Congrats on the baby, she will be here before you know it…I have 3 kids and my first was the only one that I actually experienced the whole labor 2nd 2 were both C-sections..The morning I woke up for my first child I had an idea I was going to have her that day…I had alot of pressure and just felt off…I started having contractions during the evening and were 5 minutes apart in no time…It was a very easy labor…I started pushing at 3:55 and had her at 4:35…everyone is different I know…good luck with everything, I know there are alot of uncertainties right now but before you know it your baby girl will be in your arms and it will be all worth it!!! Keep your head up, she is just as anxious to meet you as your are to meet her!!

I’m going to have a smoothie at lunch consisting of an orange, banana, and vanilla almond milk. My boyfriend sometimes makes these on vacation with vanilla icecream and vodka, but for some reason work won’t allow us to drink during lunch? Wtf right?

Hi Laury, sorry I cant answer the question about what I felt like when I went into labor…5 out of 5 didnt want to come out so they were all induced.

about your Munchkin…I dont know what L-Lyasine is but I used L-Lysine. I am thinking that they are two different things because the L-Lysine makes a world of difference. :o)
Another thing is colloidol silver…it is a natural antibiotic and my kitties and dogs do well on it.

BTW…you are looking beautiful! As much as you can enjoy the bigness (not so easy-I know) but there is something so special about feeling your baby moving inside. <3

I was a week late. It was storming and got up to pee at 5am. I walked back to bed and “peed” again. My water had slowly started breaking.
I am hoping she comes soon for you!!

Well, I had always heard ‘When yo ugo into labor, you’ll know!’ and that really annoyed me but it’s totally true! WIth the first one, my water broke…so that was easy enough! lol I was 40 weeks plus 6 days. With my second, also 40 plus 6, I actually had a full day of labor on my original due date and then a week of labor limbo….he was finally born a week after he was ‘due’ and I when I went into labor again, I just knew!? It’s a really different feeling, like you body is telling you to be calm and relaxed and you forget about things that usually make you crazy…..for instance, I am extrememly Type A and I always had this plan of what I would do around the house when I went into labor for real but I didn’t care about those things anymore when I was in labor. I became really intuitive and dreamy-like. It was cool. However, BOTH times…..I was extremely depressed, tears and all, the day before I went into full labor so my guess is influx of hormones necessary for labor to start! Do you have an email address? I can send you my son’s birth story if you are interested? It’s far different than my daughter’s birth story because it was a home birth! πŸ˜€

Wouldn’t it be great if Ella was born on Mother’s Day? I know that means you would have to wait a whole 2 more days but what better gift could you get? I can’t wait to try this blueberry green tea smoothie. I have all the ingredients except for matcha, but I think it will be fine without for now!

    Hey Laury,

You look great (even in your “annoyed” photo)!

Both of my kids were the same (even though 4 years apart)… A week late, hadn’t dropped (but were beautiful because their heads weren’t “squished”), my water broke so they had to be induced, then 15 hours later, voila! Awesomeness in your arms!

When Jennifer said Ella’s coming it reminded me of the old Three Dog Night song, “Eli’s Coming” and now it’s stuck in my head!

    All the best to you!
