Beebs Takin’ Over

Thanks so much for all your lovely comments on my Baby Shower πŸ™‚

I’ve been a bad, bad blogger. Baby stuff is consuming my life.

After my morning clients yesterday I skipped the gym and went out and got all the things I needed to pack my hospital bag. As well as some more nursing tops, PJ’s, slippers and another nursing bra, (larabars). I was having a hard time finding a bra that fit so I got measured. This was only find out I was WAY off on my size, and am now a size I have never ever been in my life. Like 3 sizes bigger. Va Va Voom is all I gotta say πŸ˜‰

My mom came over around lunchtime yesterday, and brought me this:

Nuts and Berries Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette Dressing

She helped me consolidate another closet and try and organize ALL the stuff Ella got at the shower. I also wanted to go through and wash her clothing and receiving blankets. There was SO much stuff…

SO many clothes…

I went through, untagged, washed, dried, folded and put it all away. This seriously was only half of it. She got SO MANY newborn sizes clothes.Β  I am so HOPING that she gets some use out of more than half the stuff. If she’s born a little pipsqueak she will. Otherwise I have a LOT of onesies to buy. I have like 20 onesies that are size “5-8 pounds”– they are SO tiny. I need to make sure I get lots of wear out of those the first week (let’s hope she weighs less than 8 pounds when she’s born). I was gushing again over all the adorable things she got though. Lots of ruffles and cute hats and headbands. Ugh. Gush gush, gush.

we hung the mobile^

I plan on getting a bunch of little boxes to store on the shelves of the book case to keep everything neat and tidy.

Munchkin took a break from going through all the bags to take a nap:

We worked through dinner then took a break to eat around 7pm:

another salad…avocado, green onion, mixed greens, tomato, carrots and balsamic dressing

There’s still some to do but we made a dent. Tomorrow night after work it’s another trip to Babies R Us to get some essential things we need that we didn’t get at the shower. Especially a lot of my stuff for nursing.

I really want to give you all a good information post this week. I have a few good topics brewing. However, baby brain is honestly consuming me so I can’t make any promises!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week! Hopefully I will get back my blogging mojo soon. Thanks for hanging in πŸ™‚

My day:

I am off to train some morning clients. Get a good workout at the gym. Break for lunch and make a a list for Babies R’ Us. Back to work for late afternoon clients, then Michael and I have some shopping to do!

I am officially 36 weeks today! Will have pics up later or tomorrow!

Q-

Is there anything consuming your life right now?

xxoo

Wow sounds like you’ve been busy, that’s great you’ve your bag packed for the hospital. Not long to go now. This week is a bit of gross week for me work wise, I’ve to do lots of overnights and work this weekend. Roll on next week and time off. Enjoy shopping at Babies R Us later on.

I can imagine that it took time to untag, wash, fold and put away all those clothes — looks like you’re almost all set – how exciting πŸ™‚

Thankfully things are kind of all in balance for now — lets hope I can keep it that way!

The only thing that really consumes my life is all my meal planning! I have to pack my breakfast and lunch for the work week and cook dinner every night so it get’s a little tiring sometimes!

Of course you have a lot of stuff going on right now! Don’t think that we would hold that against you though, we all know you are in a busy time. Don’t stress about blogging!
I actually do have something consuming my life right now, other than school that is. My roommates are getting into a little bit of a fuss right now and big changes are about to happen. I am not nearly as heavily involved, but it still affects me and my stress level. I hope everything gets sorted out soon!

I’m sure that washing everything is making this all seem more real now. I think she’ll get use out of all those clothes, if only for a while. They do grow pretty quickly. =D I think this is why I try not to give clothes at baby showers — I want my gifts to last! LOL.

OH my…look at all the adorable baby gear!!!! Its SO MUCH WORK getting ready for baby, but so fun. I love the nursery! It came together so cute! Your pregnancy has gone by so fast. Definitely because it wasnt me that was preg. haha. I have been a BAD BLOGGER myself lately. I have been so busy, and barely getting on. I am way overdue for a post, my lentil wraps that are so delish, I need to get on it and post it. πŸ™‚ And I missed your post yesterday, gotta go check it out. So has the pregnancy felt long or short to you?? I think it feels so long, untiol the end, and then Im like “huh? that was quick” lol And little girls are so so fun! I am already positi ve 100% that you are going to be dressing her up all adorable and cute and like a littlemini you. πŸ™‚ I cant wait to see her!!!!!!!!!!

I saw you mention lentil wraps on FB and I was drooling thinking about it!!! The pregnancy felt kind of short. Or just like it went by so quickly! I feel now it might slow down, but I don’t know. We have the nursery pretty much ready, I just need to finish washing things and make lists for the hospital, and figure out my eating situation. I would be so curious to see what you did about the whole hospital food situation. I like want to bring my almond milk or make overnight oats and have coconut water for right after nirth to rehydrate. Lol. I don’t want the nurses to hate me though!! That would NOT be good!

ummmmm…yes, the hospital food situation was definitely a SITUATION. But I do live in Socal, and so they did offer a veggie burger in the cafeteria there. It is not the food they bring you. You have to pay. And they were only open certain hours. So I had one of those once, and some fruit, and the rest of the time had my own food brought in. I was only there for less than 2 days, so it wasnt too bad. My Mom flew in to see me and watch the kids for us so she brought me some good stuff too! Just pack a bag of some snacks from home, and then make Michael spoil you with takeout from your favorite places for the few days. LOL

Yikes. Yes, I doubt here in Philly they will have options like that but maybe. There’s a Whole Foods, Farmers Market and my fav salad place down the street so everyone will just have to run out and get me food all the time. Sicks I can’t have a mini fridge in my room, that would be ideal πŸ˜‰ I need to think up non-refrigerated snacks aside from bars!

Baby clothes are always so cute πŸ˜‰ I remember last year when our oldest sister had her baby, and she received so many baby clothes are her baby showers. She had to take some clothes back and exchange them for other things.

You know, you can take a lot of the clothes back and get bigger sizes so that you’re left with nothing for lil Ella to wear after the first week. That’s what my sister did, and I think she won’t have to buy clothes until the twins are 3! LOL πŸ™‚ Just a thought. πŸ™‚

yea I can’t return them or I would have for sure. they are all washed and put away anyway. Most of the gift receipts got mixed up after the shower and there wasn’t any for the really tiny stuff.

that Nuts and Berries Salad looks soo good.
When I shop for baby showers I will try to buy 6-12 months because I know everyones thinking newborn and you tend to have way to much. I don’t think people reliaze that you can have too much of one size. Like Sierra said you could exchange it for another size and I would think the gift giver would understand why and be happy you were able to use there gift.

the problem is I can’t return them. No gift receipts for most of it and I washed it all and put it all away

Since Cooper was rescued from a shelter, we don’t know exactly what kind of dog he is…but everyone is pretty sure he is a lab/welsh corgi mix (so strange, so its a wonder he turned out as cute as he did! πŸ™‚ He’s got the lab face and body but the short corgi legs. I love his white too! He has it on all 4 paws, the tip of his tail and on the top of his head. When we adopted him, his name was “Lighting” because of the white spot on this head…

Congrats! πŸ™‚ P.S. The little 5-8 pound things are going to get soooo much use! I have found they really last until about 10 pounds depending on the ‘roll’ factor of the lil one!
